The Story of Arken Travel
Why Arken?
The name Arken is rooted in a story close to our hearts. When our son, Thorin, arrived early and needed a name as strong as the journey ahead of him, we turned to the world we love most: Middle-earth. Inspired by Thorin Oakenshield, one of the greatest heroes of The Hobbit, his name became a reminder of courage, resilience, and the strength found in unexpected places.
The Arkenstone, the heart of the Lonely Mountain, was the most treasured of all the jewels. It represented beauty, legacy, and a deep connection to home. While its power could inspire both wonder and desire, its true value was found in what it represented: something rare, meaningful, and worth seeking.
At Arken Travel, we believe journeys should be like the Arkenstone: carefully discovered, thoughtfully treasured, and remembered long after the adventure ends. We curate travel experiences that are more than destinations. They are stories waiting to be lived.
